A little history:

At the end of the twenties of the last century, the NS (Dutch Railways) decided to stop the production of domestic carriages and ordered 35 steel carriages type AB7521-7555. Werkspoor delivered the AB7521-7555 from 1932 to 1933. The basis of the new design was the oval bay windows.
The differences between these cars are:
1. AB7521-7555 were designed with rectangular windows in the lavatories.
2. The bodies of the AB7521-7555 were welded rather than riveted, giving them a smoother, cleaner look.
3. AB7521-7555s had T-type bogies with an integral braking device.
4. The quantity of AB7521-7555 cars is greater than those fitted with oval bay windows.

Since the Second World War, the AB7500 series cars have run on national express trains with the C12C 6400 series of cars, small steel Ds and wooden cars. In addition, these coaches were used for international trains throughout Europe.
After the Second World War, they were used with coaches (Plan D, Plan E, Plan K, Plan N type, van block) but also C12C coaches for many domestic express trains and military trains. In addition these coaches were used extensively for international trains throughout Europe.
These coaches were withdrawn from service between 1964 and 1968.
At the time of steam locomotives, these coaches ran behind all types of locomotives and then in the Netherlands and outside the Netherlands with Diesel and electric locomotives (SNCF BB300, LNER 6000, NS1000 / NS1100/NS1200/NS1300/NS2200/NS2400).
Some coaches were sent to East Germany and Poland after the Second World War and were subsequently registered with computer numbering.
