A little history:
The SNCB 28 series ( formerly type 120) is a small series of locomotives produced by the Belgian rail industry in order to compete with equipment ordered abroad ( in particular the three type 121 prototypes acquired in Switzerland).
These machines were mainly used as test benches at the start of the project, then as repair and manoeuvring equipment in the Brussels area.
