Presentation of the BB 9200 series locomotive:
The locomotives of the BB 92000 series, operated under "electric" power of voltage equivalent to 1,500 V.These railway models were built in 92 units by Creusot-Loire Jeumont-Schneider and CEM. They were put into service by the SNCF railway company from 24 May 1957 until 1 June 1964.
These railcars had four axles distributed under 2 bogies, hence the term "BB", and delivered a power of 3,850 kW.
The structure and bogies of the BB 9003 and BB 9004 were heavily inspired for the construction of the BB 9200
The greatest success of this series, will remain the putting into circulation of the first train running at 200 km/h, in "Le Capitole" livery (which is represented on this poster) on the Paris - Toulouse line.
