A little history:
In 2020, Snälltaget acquired ten Bvcmz 248.5 in Germany, and then subjected them to a cosmetic update. These carriages, formerly in service with CityNightLine and DB Nachtzug, are currently in use on the Stockholm-Berlin route. The journey starts in Stockholm and continues to Trelleborg, where the train is towed by a Snälltaget Vectron locomotive. A ferry then takes passengers to Sassnitz. Once in Germany, various private rail companies such as WFL take care of the rest of the journey.
Since 2022, the company has also been operating a night train from Stockholm to Salzburg, expanding the travel options to destinations further south for these cars.
