This Märklin boxed set (référence 42988) is a beautiful reproduction à l39;échelle HO of a train set from the express train RE4018 of the DB Regio linking Munich à Nuremberg. It contains:

- 2 second class passenger carriages type Bpmz 295.4
- 1 second class pilot car type Bpmbdzf 296.3 equipped with SIG 72 bogies
The RE4018 express train is currently operated by DB Regio in Germany. This new generation of high-speed train was deployed in the state of Bavaria in the 2000s, the country's third-largest rail network.Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft (BEG), the operating authority for Bavaria's regional railways, manages 434km of lines, 150 stops and some 840,000 passengers a day. The Nuremberg-Ingolstadt-Munich line, inaugurated in 2006, is the fastest in Germany, with a maximum speed of 300km/h on the Nuremberg-Ingolstadt section and 160km/h on the Ingolstadt-Munich section. As a result, journey times on this line have been cut by half an hour. This model reproduces the HO scale of operation of this express train in 2017.
