A little history:
At the end of the twenties of the last century, the NS (Dutch Railways) decided to stop production of domestic carriages and ordered 35 steel carriages type AB7521-7555. Werkspoor delivered the AB7521-7555 from 1932 to 1933. The basis of the new design was the oval bay windows.
The differences between these cars are:
1. AB7521-7555 were designed with rectangular windows in the toilets.
2. The bodies of AB7521-7555 were welded rather than riveted giving them a smoother, cleaner look.
3. AB7521-7555 had T-type bogies with an integral brake device.
4. The quantity of AB7521-7555 cars is greater than those fitted with oval bay windows.
