Introduction to the manufacturer Fleischmann:
The German-born model railway brand, Fleischmann was founded in 1887 by Jean Fleischmann. However, it was in 1949 that the company created its first model train, which was designed in O: 1/45th scale. The company was subsequently acquired in 2008 by Modelleisenbahn GmbH.
In 2017, Fleischmann decided to specialise in the design of model railway products in N: 1/160th scale. From now on, the production of material in HO: 1/87th scale is reserved for the Roco brand, which currently belongs to the same group.
