The Jouef brand offers the Coffret4-element TGV Sud-Est, analog, in the scale HO 1/87 under the reference 2412, which has the following characteristics:

- Model under direct current "2 rails".

- Railcar equipped with a 21-pin decoder.

- This engine is equipped with a flywheel, with a 5-pole motor, external lighting and pantograph.

A little touch of history:

In September 1981, the SNCF company wanted to demonstrate that it was possible to run a train daily at 260 km/h in complete safety. Hence the launch of the "TGV 100" operation, which aims to reach the speed of 360 km/h using the brand new infrastructure and standard equipment.

After several tests carried out on the plain of Alsace, the press was convened on February 26, 1981 to attend the speed record attempt. At 15:28, the train was launched, and then, at 15:41 at kilometre point PK154, the maximum speed of 380 km/h was reached. The old speed record (331 km/h) of 1955 was beaten.

Presentation of the manufacturer Jouef:

The brand of model railroading originating in France, Jouef, was founded in 1944 by Georges Huard. One of the largest model train design factories Jouef was located in Champagnole, only 30 minutes from our company Jura Modélisme. Now, Jouef belongs to the Hornby group since October 2004.

The brand is characterized by their sense of detail and robustness, which are mainly designed from molded plastic under the HO scale: 1/87.

Jouef produces all types of railway equipment (cars, wagons, engines) from different eras (I, II, III, IV, V or even VI).
