Résumé

The Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français has recently updated its BB 9338 electric locomotive with the following specifications:

It is now equipped with the PluX16 interface as well as LED lighting.
It features elegant pantographs.
Many parts are now separately pluggable, some being partially engraved.
The front or rear lights can be activated individually in digital mode.

In 1968/69, the SNCF added 40 of these powerful universal locomotives to its fleet. They were used to carry both high-end passenger trains and fast goods trains, with a maximum speed of 160 km/h and a power output of 4,240 kW.
