The model railway brand originating from France, Jouef, was founded in 1944 by Georges Huard. One of the largest model train design factories JOUEF was based in Champagnole, just 30 minutes from our Jura Modélisme company. Now Jouef has belonged to the Hornby group since October 2004.
The brand is characterised by their attention to detail and robustness, which are essentially designed from moulded plastic under the HO: 1/87th scale.
