Presentation of the manufacturer Fleischmann:
The model railway brand originating in Germany, Fleischmann was founded in 1887 by Jean Fleischmann. However, it was in 1949 that the company created its first model train, which was designed in O: 1/45th scale. The company was subsequently acquired in 2008 by Modelleisenbahn GmbH.
In 2017, Fleischmann decided to specialise in the design of model railway products in N: 1/160th scale. From now on, the production of material in HO: 1/87th scale is reserved for the Roco brand, which currently belongs to the same group.
Like the Roco brand, the brand is characterised by their attention to detail, and the robustness of their products, which are designed from metallic materials. Their products are as close to the real thing as possible, and for some (the Digitales Sound models) offer very well-reproduced sound effects.
The brand also offers railway accessories (spare parts, tyres, couplers, etc.) and digital modules (analogue controller, digital control unit, digital remote control, etc.).
