The mark REE Modèles offers the Autorail diesel X-2894 from the repository of Saint-Etienne, analog, in scale N : 1/160th under reference NW-247, which has the following characteristics:
- Short hitch kinematics to NEM 355 standard.
- 2nd class locomotive in red and cream livery.
- Highly detailed bodywork, interior and printing to match the original model as closely as possible.
- Operates on 2-rail direct current.
A little touch of history:
A total of 119 X 2800 series railcars were produced, and delivered on 28 May 1957 to the Carmaux depot (Tarn) for the SNCF company. This was the most powerful single-box, single-engine railcar of its time, with an engine developing 825 hp. Its longevity remains exemplary, as this model was used for 52 years (1957 - 2009)!
