These miniature models in HO scale: 1/87, will be ideal to complete your rail network.
History of the model:
The postal van was put into service to carry various parcels and mails around the world. In France there are two types of postal cars namely:
- The "ambulant" intended for the transport and sorting of mail.
- The "postal allèges" intended for the transport of dispatches (official release or private order).
As these vans were generally used with passenger cars, have them later assigned the name of "postal cars".
In addition, the OCEM cars were manufactured by the central office of studies of railway equipment (OCEM) to make long journey on railroads. They were distributed for many railroad companies, including the SNCF.
For our pleasure, the model railroad manufacturer REE Models, plans to design these HO: 1/87 scale postal cars to complement our train sets on our model train layout.
