Animated vehicles

Car System animated vehicles, control systems and construction accessories developed by FALLER & Magnorail. These systems offered by Magnorail & FALLER make it possible to run vehicles in HO 1/87th, N 1/160th, TT 1/120th and Z 1/220th scales.

Just like in the real world, CAR SYSTEM Faller model vehicles are equipped with an engine, steering and an energy accumulator instead of a fuel tank. To get started, you have a start and stop switch on the underside of the vehicle, as well as a second microswitch, acting on the magnetic effect, which is also often referred to as contact reed.

After the motor voltage is switched on, the vehicles drive independently, without an external voltage supply. To steer the vehicles, a steering tip has been attached to the front axle of the vehicle. This reacts on a special wire (steel wire), which is laid in the road surface, so that the vehicle maintains steering.

Traffic offers many possibilities and requires a little planning. To stop at traffic lights, level crossings and bus stops, there are stop points. These consist of an electromagnet, which is lowered into the traffic lane. When voltage is applied, it switches off the motor voltage with its electro-magnetic field, via the reed contact built into the vehicle. You have a junction for turning. This is an electric coil, which when activated takes the steering magnet out of its straight line drive, to continue on a special separate drive wire. Very simple!
