A little history:
In the years 2009–2012, Siemens delivered a total of 17 ICE trainsets of the 407 series to Deutsche Bahn AG under the name «Velaro». The trains are designed for a top speed of 320 km/h on the AC network and 220 km/h on the DC network. Thanks to its various country equipment, the trains can provide daily cross-border connections, including to France.
