- This splendid locomotive has a digital decoder offering multiple sound and light functions.
- Power car fitted with an LED Fanal (2 front lights and 2 end of convoy lights) reversible according to direction of travel.

A little touch of history:
In July 1977, the Y 8001 locotractor was launched, with 525 units sold. These locomotives were used for shunting operations in stations, marshalling yards, building sites and SNCF workshops. Powerful and longer than their predecessors, some of these engines replaced locomotives for light goods trains.
Introduction to Roco:
Roco, the Austrian model railway brand, was founded in 1960 by Heinz Rössler. The manufacturer specialises in the design of model railway products.
Roco produces all types of railway equipment (wagons, carriages, locomotives) from different eras (I, II, III, IV, V and VI). Generally speaking, the manufacturer designs products in various scales such as: HO: 1/87th; N: 1/160th and TT: 1/120th.
The brand is characterised by its attention to detail and the robustness of its products, which are designed from metallic materials. Their products are as close to the real thing as possible, and for some (the Digitales Sound models) offer very well-reproduced sound effects.
The brand also offers railway accessories (spare parts, tyres, couplers...) and digital modules (analogue controller, digital control unit, digital remote control...).
