Superb model of a typical station of the railway company from Paris to Lyon and the Mediterranean. This passenger building was fourth class which meant that traffic was less than sixty passengers daily.
The station has two doors on the track side and a single door on the street side, with two windows on each side upstairs. The side elevations have no openings, with the exception of a door and a window on the opposite side. The interchangeable side facades belong to the PLM company buildings.
The fitting of the canopy and collars is optional. The roofs rest on a sturdy framework made up of longitudinal beams and a truss, allowing precise adjustment. Cardboard tiles attach at roof junctions, and cardboard-wood downpipes facilitate rainwater run-off.
The optional interior walls allow realistic scenes to be created, such as the stationmaster's office and waiting room on the ground floor, and the station staff's bedrooms, dining room and kitchen on the first floor. The design of these walls prevents any light leaking underneath the building.
